Turning lever downward will activate dead latch. Heavy-duty spring will return the lever automatically to fully horizontal position. The escutcheon is 1-3/8″ x 4″ (35 x 102 mm), with a 1/4″ (6 mm) square hardened spindle that interlocks in the cam plug.
