The interconnected mechanism is panic proof and allows the deadbolt to be unlocked by turning the handle from the inside. Perfect for securing entrances, side doors, and anywhere else that needs a bit more security.Interconnect Technology: Kwikset’s Interconnect technology is ideal for apartment or multi-family housing. The device’s deadbolt latch and plain latch operate in sync with each other, allowing both to be retracted by turning the interior lever alone.
