CRL Blumcraft®’s Top Quality Wood Cap Rails

are produced from high quality hardwoods. Wood Cap Rails are sold in stock lengths or can be custom fabricated to size. The use of stainless steel Adapter Strips, Very High Bond Cladding Tape, and Wood Biscuits are required during the installation process.

Each Cap Rail comes complete with pre-drilled holes 24″ (610 mm) on center and set screws along one side of the Cap Rail for proper attachment to the Adapter Strips. Use CRL’s Wood Biscuits and Wood Glue when joining Wood Cap Rail joints and mitered corners together.

When using CRL Blumcraft®’s 346 and 347 Series Cap Rails, it is important to install the stainless steel Adapter Strips onto the glass edge with Very High Bond Cladding Tape before installing your Cap Rail.

NOTE:

Wood cap rails and hand rails are affected by changes in humidity levels, and warping can occur. Rails are shipped in secure packaging to prevent warping and should be left intact until installed. Packaged product should be moved to installation location and allowed to adjust to the humidity prior to unpacking. Wood hand rails and caps are shipped in stock lengths and will need to be cut, sanded and stained by others.
